Summary: The Finance System Analyst - Onestream role is a contract position based in Central London, requiring a minimum of two days on-site each week. The successful candidate will support the deployment of a standalone OneStream environment, focusing on financial consolidation, transaction matching, and tax modules. This position demands a blend of EPM systems knowledge, finance transformation experience, and project delivery expertise. The role serves as a bridge between finance, IT, and implementation teams to ensure a smooth migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess existing system configuration and workflows
- Design and document improved user journeys, highlighting pain points and optimisation opportunities
- Lead the analysis and documentation of requirements for the new standalone system
- Support the design and implementation of a fit-for-purpose finance data model
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to guide a smooth systems transition
- Collaborate with data, finance, and technical teams to develop a migration and retention approach
- Support data validation, cleansing, and readiness for go-live
- Assist with user training and hypercare post-deployment
- Design detailed test plans and manage UAT activities
- Ensure business processes and data are effectively validated in the new environment
- Serve as the interface between technical teams, end-users, and external partners
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to capture and prioritise business needs
- Identify, log, and track risks and issues related to finance platform separation
- Recommend mitigation strategies to minimise business disruption
Key Skills:
- 2-3 years of hands-on OneStream platform experience across design, integration, migration, and testing
- Experience in a Business or Functional Analyst in finance systems or transformation programmes
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, data analysis, and system configuration
- Track record in managing testing phases including SIT/UAT
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accountancy or a related field
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar qualifications are advantageous
- Accounting certification is advantageous (or QBE)
- Exposure to divestment, M&A, or shared service centre projects

You'll work across a range of workstreams including financial consolidation, transaction matching, and tax modules, ensuring a smooth migration to a new independent instance. The role bridges finance, IT, and implementation requiring a strong blend of hands-on EPM systems knowledge, finance transformation experience, and project delivery expertise.
Responsibilities:
User Journey & Experience Mapping
- Assess existing system configuration and workflows
- Design and document improved user journeys, highlighting pain points and optimisation opportunities
OneStream System Separation
- Lead the analysis and documentation of requirements for the new standalone system
- Support the design and implementation of a fit-for-purpose finance data model
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to guide a smooth systems transition
Data Migration
- Collaborate with data, finance, and technical teams to develop a migration and retention approach
- Support data validation, cleansing, and readiness for go-live
