Summary: We are looking for a Finance Systems Project Manager to lead a complex systems migration within a finance function. This role involves managing the transition from legacy systems while ensuring compliance and integrity in financial reporting. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between finance, IT, and stakeholders, translating technical requirements into actionable outcomes. The contract is expected to last until early 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the finance system migration project, managing timelines, resources, stakeholder communications, and change impacts.
- Oversee the end-to-end data migration process, including cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Engage with multiple legacy platforms, helping to design future-state processes and supporting business users with testing, training, and go-live support.
- Ensure continuity of reporting during the transition period, supporting statutory accounts preparation, year-end close, and external audit requirements.
- Provide expertise on indirect tax (VAT), Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), and other compliance matters as required.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance, IT teams, and wider business stakeholders to deliver key milestones on time and within scope.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in finance systems projects, ideally involving ERP transitions or similar migrations.
- Confident working across multiple systems, with strong data handling and reconciliation capabilities.
- Solid project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, year-end processes, and audit preparation.
- Exposure to VAT and CIS is highly desirable.

Overview We are seeking an experienced and technically astute Finance Systems Project Manager to lead a complex systems migration within a fast-paced finance function. This contract role will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth transition across legacy systems while maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and compliance obligations. You’ll act as the key link between finance, IT, and other business stakeholders—translating technical requirements into practical outcomes and ensuring business continuity throughout the project lifecycle. Day rate circa 350/400 per day - till early 2026
