Summary: The Interim Finance Project Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO of a rapidly growing, PE-backed consumer-facing business during a critical transformation phase. This role involves shaping a 3-year strategic plan, leading M&A initiatives, and providing financial insights to support executive decision-making. The position requires a blend of financial acumen and stakeholder management skills to drive strategic finance projects. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work in the Derby area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and refine the company’s 3-year plan with commercial insight and financial discipline.
- Lead strategic finance projects, including acquisitions, disposals, and corporate transactions.
- Build robust, investor-grade financial models and scenario analyses.
- Partner with executives and senior leaders to align financial priorities with strategic goals.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and acquisition targets.
Key Skills:
- Experience in business financial modelling and strategy development or strategic projects.
- Track record of managing key internal (executives, senior leaders) and external (investors, banks) stakeholders.
- Exposure to corporate strategic development and business plan construction.
- Experience in a consumer-facing (B2C) business is essential.
- Experience in a private equity-backed and/or travel business is advantageous.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Proven experience in strategy, corporate development, and stakeholder management.
- Background in consumer-facing (B2C) and PE backed businesses is highly desirable.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to influence at the highest level.
