Summary: The Finance PMO Lead role is a 12-month contract position based in London, requiring an experienced professional to support the Group Finance function by establishing governance and ensuring effective delivery of finance initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, the role involves close collaboration with senior finance leadership and managing cross-functional activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in private equity-backed organizations and experience in fast-paced environments. This position emphasizes structure, accountability, and transformation within finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage PMO governance across Group Finance, including planning cadence, reporting, action tracking, RAID management and delivery oversight.
  • Work closely with the CFO and finance leadership team to track priorities, deliverables, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of finance transformation, process improvement and operational change initiatives.
  • Prepare clear reporting packs, dashboards, briefing materials and progress updates for senior leadership.
  • Drive consistency and accountability across finance workstreams, ensuring actions are owned, followed up and delivered.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activity between Finance, Technology, Operations and wider corporate teams.
  • Identify delivery risks, blockers and process inefficiencies, escalating where required and helping drive practical solutions.
  • Support improved ways of working across the finance function, including governance, reporting, planning and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain clear visibility of progress against key objectives and help ensure the finance leadership team has the information needed to make timely decisions.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Finance PMO Lead, PMO Manager, Business Manager, Transformation PMO or Finance Change role.
  • Strong experience managing governance, reporting, RAID logs, action tracking, workstream coordination and senior stakeholder updates.
  • Confident working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors, senior leadership teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, operating model change, process improvement or business change initiatives.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, useful updates for senior audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Proactive, structured and comfortable bringing clarity to fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to follow up with senior stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Experience within a private equity-backed, fast-growth, technology, software or SaaS environment would be highly desirable.

We are working with a leading technology organisation who require an experienced Finance PMO Lead to support the effective delivery of priorities across their Group Finance function.
