Finance Operations Specialist

Position Summary

The Finance Operations Specialist will manage complex operational financial logistics for CBS News, focusing on global news bureau oversight, field news crew cash advances, travel cash funds, and multi-currency banking management.

A key focus during this contract is providing dedicated operational support during the system migration of the China and Israel bureaus to Oracle Fusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Bureau & Field Cash Operations: Oversee cash advances for field news crews, emergency travel cash funds, replenishments, balance monitoring, and periodic physical cash counts.
• International Bureau Oversight: Review entries, balances, and operational funding across international locations (including UK, China, Israel, South Africa, Italy, Iran, and Moscow).
• System Migration Support: Lead the operational transition and onboarding of the China and Israel bureaus into Oracle Fusion.
• International Banking & Treasury: Oversee international bank accounts, treasury admin, cash flow inputs, and review Oracle balance entries.
• Corporate Expenses & Cards: Support corporate expense review, training, and administration across Barclaycard and BoA Visa cards.
• Operational Accounting: Handle Royal Events / FBS financial management, petty cash reconciliations, and international payroll operational oversight.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Strong background in financial operations, treasury management, or complex expense/cash handling environments.
• Direct experience or high capability with Oracle Fusion and advanced Excel skills.
• Prior experience with international bureau/bureau-style logistics or broadcast field operations is preferred but not strictly required.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to resolve operational finance issues quickly.
