Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and map operations and supply chain processes from a finance perspective
  • Create accounting processes within the new ERP and develop finance reporting
  • Identify all master data, liaise with ERP Project team to map new data
  • Challenge and identify areas of risk and improvement
  • Support creation of SOP’s and develop training and testing
  • Ensure alignment with finance, operations and commercial accounting needs
  • Support finance team and ERP team in using new processes and reporting
  • Challenge stakeholders to ensure ERP delivers correct information

This division of a global manufacturing business provides specialist products and solutions to a range of sectors with a focus on sustainability and innovation. They have pioneered a number of technologies to ensure they maintain their position as market leaders by meeting customer demands and prioritising internal investment. As part of this global commitment to continuous improvement they are embarking on a significant ERP implementation and are seeking to recruit an experienced accountant to lead the ERP project at their Blackburn site for finance operations and supply chain. The role will be offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis (12-18m) and will report into the UK Head of Finance and will lead delivery of the new Oracle ERP platform by reviewing current processes and master data then implementing new procedures and controls. The successful candidate will work closely with all departments on site, head office functions, 3rd party warehouse and logistics companies and their ERP provider. Your core duties will be:

The preferred candidate for this role will be a fully qualified or QBE Accountant with a deep understanding of manufacturing and operational / supply chain reporting. It is essential that applicants can demonstrate knowledge and experience of an ERP system implementation (not necessarily Oracle). As part of this role you will be expected to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders on the project, a credible leadership style and the ability motivate, collaborate with and develop other team members will be essential.
