Summary: The Finance Officer (RSL) role in Blackburn involves supporting the Business Partner in delivering accurate financial information, including management accounts and performance analysis, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This position is a 6-month fixed-term contract within Together Housing Group, a prominent housing association in the North of England. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Business Partners with business & capacity planning, budgeting/forecasting.
- Ensure budgets and performance targets are effectively managed.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly management information, including management accounts and performance analysis.
- Prepare working papers and notes for Financial Statements, including variance analysis.
- Assist other Finance Colleagues as required.
- Liaise with External and Internal Auditors, providing supporting schedules and responding to queries.
- Complete and submit statutory and regulatory returns as directed.
- Ensure monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and key income/expenditure accounts are undertaken.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a Finance/accounts environment.
- Qualified in AAT, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Experience using a computerised nominal ledger.
- Ability to produce financial information in spreadsheet format.
- Experience in producing accurate and timely management accounts.
- Experience in completing monthly reconciliations, including nominal and bank account reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external colleagues.
- Working knowledge in preparing and submitting financial information to stakeholders.
