The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within an educational setting, possess excellent knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), and hold an enhanced DBS check. Key Responsibilities: Manage the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Prepare financial statements and reports for the Headteacher and governing body. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and monitor expenditure against budget allocations. Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits. Support the Headteacher and School Business Manager with financial planning and decision-making. Ensure the efficient operation of the school's financial systems and processes. Requirements: Proven experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar financial role, preferably within an educational setting. Strong knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS). Enhanced DBS check is mandatory. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
