Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

  • Degree with 2 years' relevant financial experience or AAT/HND with 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Part-qualified with a recognised CCAB body and 1 year's relevant experience or 3 years' relevant experience at Band 4 level.
  • Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., accruals, prepayments).
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in management accounts and variance analysis is desirable.

This is a well-established public sector healthcare facility located in County Down, Northern Ireland. The organisation plays a key role in delivering essential health services to the local community and is supported by a dedicated finance team that ensures the effective management of public funds.Your new role
As Finance Officer, you will support senior finance staff in delivering accurate and timely financial information. You'll assist in the annual budget-setting process, contribute to the development of efficiency and recovery plans, and help identify financial risks within directorates. You'll also be responsible for improving financial reporting tools and systems, responding to ad hoc queries, and liaising with senior stakeholders to support their understanding of budgets and financial performance.What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Degree with 2 years' relevant financial experience
  • AAT/HND with 2 years' relevant experience
  • Part-qualified with a recognised CCAB body and 1 year's relevant experience
  • 3 years' relevant experience at Band 4 level

You'll also need:
