Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing payments, managing journals in NetSuite, chasing invoices, and carrying out bank reconciliations
  • Supporting cashflow monitoring and ensuring records are up to date and accurate
  • Working closely with the Finance Manager to tidy NetSuite ahead of audit and contribute to smooth year-end processes (December year-end)
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial housekeeping to ensure everything is in order for year-end review
  • Taking responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and ensuring financial data integrity across the organisation

Key Skills:

  • Experienced in charity finance, ideally having worked within the not-for-profit or international development sectors
  • Confident using NetSuite (this is key), with the ability to pick up system nuances quickly
  • Solid in their understanding of debits and credits, able to identify when journals are incorrect and flag issues appropriately
  • Comfortable with transactional finance tasks but also proactive in supporting wider finance priorities
  • Happy to get stuck in and support the Finance Manager, freeing up time for higher-level work

A leading international environmental and conservation-focused organisation is seeking an Interim Finance Officer to support its London-based team for an initial three-month contract. With a pioneering funding model backed by a highly credible philanthropic founder, the organisation supports environmental partners across the globe-from small grassroots groups to established international NGOs-working to tackle some of the world's most pressing biodiversity challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong charity finance experience to play a hands-on role supporting the Finance Manager during a busy year-end period, helping to strengthen processes, keep systems in order, and ensure the organisation remains well-positioned to deliver on its mission.

As the Interim Finance Officer your role will involve:
