Summary: The Finance Analyst role involves managing financial processes such as accruals, prepayments, and general ledger entries, while ensuring compliance with financial policies. The position requires collaboration with project managers and finance partners to provide accurate financial reporting and support for audits. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities, with a focus on planning and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking and posting of Accruals and Prepayments as part of month end work
- Liaison with project managers for assets under construction to ensure correct entries are booked
- Tracking and posting of other month end general ledger entries - asset additions, depreciation, disposals
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including to sub ledgers
- Provision of support to our financial auditors
- Supporting the development and maintenance of controls and procedures
- Providing advice and educating stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with financial policies
- Working closely with our Finance Business Partners to report accurate financial information
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
- Supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Key Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Self-starter & Team player
- Qualified or working towards qualification of ACA, ACCA or CIMA beneficial but also will consider qualified by experience
- Microsoft D365 experience desired but not essential
- Expertise in reporting solutions for example Power BI desirable
- Ability to effectively plan & prioritize work, meeting deadlines in fast paced environment
- Strong analytical skills, questions data & looks for root cause
