Summary: The Finance Officer role is a temporary position at a family-run independent bank, requiring full on-site presence for a six-month contract with potential for extension. The position involves various financial reporting and operational tasks, aimed at supporting the bank's financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing & submitting daily, weekly and monthly H.O. reports.
  • Reporting on the daily LCR report.
  • Checking daily reconciliations.
  • Preparing invoice entries and entering supplier payments through the Faster payment system.
  • Authorising daily T24 entries.
  • Preparing Quarterly VAT Returns for all branches and subsidiaries.
  • Assisting with the CAR Report.
  • Monthly and Quarterly BoE Reporting.
  • To Provide Support to staff regarding daily operational work.
  • To reply to any ad-hoc queries received from other departments.
  • Assisting with invoices scanning.
  • Responsible for daily work of other staff during holidays.

Key Skills:

  • Strong academic record (GCSEs and A Levels).
  • Part-Qualified Accountant.
  • Previous experience within banking (wider financial services will also be considered).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Proven experience in systems implementation, process improvement, and reporting.

Your new role
The client is seeking a Finance Officer to join the team fully on site for a six-month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing & submitting daily, weekly and monthly H.O. reports.
  • Reporting on the daily LCR report.
  • Checking daily reconciliations.
  • Preparing invoice entries and entering supplier payments through the Faster payment system.
