Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and present them to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities for the organisation.
- Ensure timely completion of payroll and related financial tasks.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial alignment.
Key Skills:
- Experience in accounting and finance.
- Ideally a recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
- Ideally experience with Sage50 and Sage Intact.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.

My client, who is based in the Totnes area, are looking for a part time Finance Officer for a temporary period of around 4 months.
The role would be 30 hours per week - you can either do 6 hours over 5 days or 7.5 hours over 4 days.
Pay is equal to between 26,000 - 30,000 depending on experience.
Please note this role requires a criminal records check before starting but this is paid for by Hays.
