Summary: The Finance Manager / Controller role is an interim maternity contract position focused on overseeing financial operations for a multi-site capital equipment client. The position involves managing a lease team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to enhance performance and profitability. The role requires collaboration with external suppliers and the development of management information systems, including dashboards on PowerBI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the lease team with two direct reports.
- Provide support and advice on commercial and financial aspects of leased capital and warehouse equipment.
- Monitor, control, and report on divisional financial accounts and fleet of equipment.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data allocation within the division.
- Produce management information detailing financial performance across operating areas.
- Formulate performance targets and budgets with supporting calculations.
- Design and build management information systems to improve performance and profitability.
- Monitor performance of external suppliers through KPIs and analysis.
- Build and present dashboards on PowerBI.
- Produce and present financial planning and analysis for the division.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
- Project Management.
- Strong communication and presentational skills.
- Deadline oriented.
- Accounting / statistical analysis / financial planning.
- PowerBI skills advantageous.
- Statistical analysis experience preferred.
- Capital Equipment / leasing / distribution experience background useful.
