  • Support IBP by generating key financial assumptions and reviewing programme performance.
  • Generate project narratives and slides for review packs.
  • Adapt forecasts based on in-year performance analysis and recommend updates to assumptions.
  • Support business with pricing strategies, order book management, and LCM compliance.
  • Review inputs for customer and supplier reviews and support improvement programmes.

Key Skills:

Salary: £61,110+ (Depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage finance reporting cycles including CSR (Contract Status Report), SSR(Summary Status Report), MMR (Monthly Management Reporting) and QBR (Quarterly Business Review)
  • Management of bid proposals and associated activities such as currency and tax reviews as appropriate (include higher up in list – new bids incoming)
  • Supporting IBP by generating key financial assumptions, reviewing programme performance, constructively challenging the business and make recommendations to course-correct, driving improvement from current position
  • Generating project narratives/story and slides required for review packs
  • Adapting forecasts to the insights gained from in-year performance analysis, recommending updates to assumptions where necessary
  • Support business with generation of pricing strategies, order book management and LCM compliance
  • Review inputs for customer and supplier reviews, and support business or functional improvement programmes

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW – AAT will NOT be accepted) with proficient experience in project accounting, financial accounting, and management accounting, plus exposure to financial planning, reporting, and BID lifecycle processes
  • Broad experience in project financial management, forecasting, and budgeting, with a clear understanding of how these areas link to value creation
  • Proven knowledge in developing business cases and investment propositions to support revenue growth, margin improvement, and cash conversion
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with experience guiding multifunctional teams and effectively engaging stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of Financial Business Partnering (FBP) activities, underpinned by strong business acumen and stakeholder communication skills
