Summary: The Finance Manager role is a 3-6 month contract position within a real estate company in Central London, focusing on property management and lettings. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial activities related to various entities and client companies, particularly in the property sector. Familiarity with the Xero accounting system and the 're-leased' software is highly desirable. The position requires immediate availability and involves a range of financial responsibilities, including compliance with accounting standards and managing financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experienced Book-keeper level Xero Accounts System Super User
- Experience working in a Lettings or Property Management Company
- Ensuring compliance with Accounting standards and financial reporting regulations
- Working with external Accountants to prepare and file Statutory Accounts and related Tax Returns
- Managing Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk
- Posting all incoming rent/other payments in Xero daily
- Posting all incoming rent payments on Residential Tenant Database daily
- Preparing Weekly Debtors List and Weekly Creditors List
- Checking Credit Card reconciliations prepared by Purchase Ledger
- Authorising Bank Payments based on Weekly Payment Report
- Conducting Monthly Bank Reconciliations and Monthly Deposit Reconciliations
- Preparing Monthly Client Reports and Monthly Operating Reports
- Preparing Monthly Intercompany Expenses Reports and Cash Flow Reports
- Processing Payroll information provided by external Accountants
- Dealing with fixed assets, pre-payments, loan interest reconciliations, depreciation, and accruals
- Allocating Revenue and Capital expenses correctly
- Conducting Rent Variance Analysis and Costs of Sales Analysis
- Providing cover for Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk in case of absence
Key Skills:
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Knowledge of property management and lettings
- Understanding of financial reporting regulations
- Ability to work with external accountants
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Experience in managing financial teams
- Proficiency in preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
