Finance Manager - Private Equity Fund (12-Month Contract)

Private Equity Firm | London West End | Hybrid (3 days in office)
£550-£700 per day via umbrella (DOE)

A leading mid-market Private Equity firm is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join on a 12-month contract. This is a broad, hands-on role sitting close to senior leadership, offering exposure across finance, operations and deal activity.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone operating at Financial Controller level within investment management, looking to step into a high-impact role with real ownership and visibility.

The Role

You will take ownership of the corporate accounting processes, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver high-quality reporting, insight, and operational improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of monthly management reporting, board packs and performance analytics (incl. return metrics)
• Leading month-end close, balance sheet integrity and control environment
• Oversight of cashflow forecasting, working capital and treasury (FX/IR risk)
• Preparation of IFRS financial statements and management of external audits
• Supporting regulatory reporting (incl. FCA submissions)
• Driving process improvements, systems integration and automation initiatives

What we're looking for:

• ACA / ACCA qualified accountant (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in investment management / private markets
• Operating at Finance Manager / Financial Controller level
• Strong grounding in management and financial reporting (IFRS)
• Experience in multi-entity / complex structures
• Commercial mindset with the ability to partner senior stakeholders
• Track record of improving processes and driving efficiencies
