Summary: The Finance Manager role at Elevation Recruitment Group involves leading a team to provide management accounting and business partnering support across UK&I businesses on a 14-month fixed-term contract. The position requires ensuring financial controls are met while delivering commercial insights to stakeholders and driving efficiency within the team. This role offers an opportunity to oversee core accounting functions in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in finance management and a strong focus on team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the banking function and manage the end-to-end company credit card process, ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Provide business partnering support, offering commercial assistance to various UK&I businesses, helping them to achieve financial goals.
  • Oversee the production of monthly SG&A accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead the forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring resource allocation supports business objectives.
  • Manage the National Statistics process, ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Month-End Compliance processes, including balance sheet reconciliation reviews and ensuring that minimum financial controls are maintained.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring effective performance management, recruitment, coaching, and support for team members.
  • Ensure robust documentation of accounting policies and processes to maintain strong internal controls.

Key Skills:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, or actively working towards qualification.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace skills.
  • Proven experience in management accounting, financial control, and business partnering in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve complex accounting issues while considering the wider business impact and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • A solid understanding of financial controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing and leading a finance team, with a focus on recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA would be an advantage.
