Summary: The Finance Manager role is a contract position within a Public Sector organization located in the Midlands, focusing on managing public funds and contributing to the financial health of the company. The position requires a skilled contractor to oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and audits while identifying financial trends and risks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, monitor, and coordinate budgets and funds along with medium term financial planning.
  • Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Lead the final accounts process inclusive of external audits.
  • Monitor budget performance, and present recommendations to specified colleagues.
  • Identify revenue trends, cost-saving opportunities, and financial risks.

Key Skills:

  • 5 years of experience with finance, budgeting, financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/GASB, VAT regulations, and public procurement rules.
  • Must be proficient in financial systems and Excel-based modelling.
  • Public Sector experience.

Salary (Rate): £450 per day

I am currently working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking for a highly skilled contractor within the Midlands. This pivotal role offers an impactful opportunity to contribute to the financials of the company, whilst ensuring the management of public funds.

About the role:

Rate: £450 per day

Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension

Location: Midlands

Working Model: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, monitor, and coordinate budgets and funds along with medium term financial planning.
