Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy and conduct financial forecasting and sensitivity analysis.
  • Coordinate the completion of annual budget submissions and lead the finance team in developing the Authority's revenue and capital budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead the development of strategic capital investment plans and support annual budget setting.
  • Manage the Authority's treasury function and prepare the annual treasury management strategy statement (TMSS).
  • Plan and coordinate the closure of accounts process and prepare the annual statement of accounts (SOA).
  • Undertake management responsibilities for the Finance Team, resolving operational and performance issues.
  • Lead the team in developing and reviewing finance strategies, plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance, Procurement & Property in their absence.
