Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next challenge within a successful manufacturing business? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Middlesbrough for a Finance Manager to provide maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced organisation where you will play a pivotal role in supporting senior management with accurate and timely financial information. The business is seeking an individual who can make an immediate impact, although candidates with a short notice period will also be considered.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the finance function and act as a key business partner across the organisation, providing meaningful financial insight to support commercial decision-making.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
- Financial reporting and analysis for senior management
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting business planning and strategic decision-making
- Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with company procedures
- Liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders where required
- Management and mentoring of finance team members
About You: We are keen to speak with candidates who are:
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Experienced within a manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environment
- Confident producing management accounts and delivering financial reports
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills
- Able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across the business
- Hands-on, proactive and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Available to start within a short timeframe
