Summary: The Finance Manager role at an Engineering business in Portsmouth is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Key Responsibilities:
- Production of timely and accurate contract/site accounts, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans including variance analysis.
- Production of timely and technically accurate contract/site based budget, forecast and strategic plan reports and presentations for the Finance Director.
- Business Partner with operational teams holding them accountable for their forecasts and budgets.
- Support operational teams with analysis and insight.
- Providing and managing any contractual financial information for customer reporting.
- Produce monthly management accounts including site commentaries.
- Provide support to contracts for projects and pricing.
- Provide financial support to achieve key performance measurement and efficiency targets.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA/CIMA) or QBE.
- Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages.
- Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed.
- Strong attention to detail.
