Summary: The Finance Manager role is pivotal in shaping the financial strategy of a values-led social care organization in North Lanarkshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading day-to-day financial operations and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Partnering with operational teams to provide financial guidance and support
- Overseeing payroll processes in partnership with the Workforce Deployment Team and Payroll Co-ordinator
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across services
- Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance commentary
- Supporting funding bids, tenders, and service development with robust financial modelling
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Building financial capability across non-finance teams
- Driving improvements in financial systems and processes
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or management accounting role
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small team
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Desirable experience in social care, health, or the third sector
- Understanding of social care funding and commissioning frameworks
- Familiarity with charity accounting and payroll oversight

As Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the financial strategy, working closely with senior leaders and service managers to ensure resources are used effectively to deliver high-quality care.
