Finance Manager

Summary: The Finance Manager role based in Salford Quays, Manchester, involves leading the Digital & Technology Finance team within Record to Report for a multinational high-street retailer. The position requires strong business partnering skills and team management capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs and effective engagement with both Finance and non-Finance partners. This is a 6-month contract with a pay rate of £450 - £550 per day, classified as inside IR35 due to the use of an umbrella agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and encouraging a team of 5 reports, to deliver high quality outputs, driving a continuous improvement mentality and a can-do attitude
• Ensuring the large volume of tasks and queries are managed effectively, within a timely resolution, and aligned to the timetable key to successful delivery
• Develop the team to work collaboratively with London Finance business partners to ensure the financials are reflected accurately
• Strong Business Partner engagement to facilitate a collaborative working environment, managing regular dialogue to continue to drive improved performance

Key Skills:

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Exceptional business partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
• Line management experience, managing teams through transition and change
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience of using SAP, but not essential
• Strong accounting skills with previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment/shared service centre
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
