Make Your Mark in a High-Growth Business

We're looking for a Temporary Finance Manager who wants more than just a reporting role.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership, influence how finance operates and help shape the next stage of growth in a fast-scaling business.

Working across multiple entities, you'll own key financial processes end-to-end while helping our client improve systems, automate workflows and build a finance function that's fit for scale.

If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and turning financial data into business insight, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
  • Lead month-end close activities, ensuring reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and controls are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor departmental spending and budgets, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
  • Partner with external accountants, auditors and suppliers to ensure compliance and smooth reporting cycles.
  • Help modernise and streamline finance operations through improved systems, processes and automation.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Manage finance-related onboarding and offboarding activities, including payroll coordination, systems access and documentation.
  • Drive improvements in financial controls and data integrity, ensuring leaders can make decisions with confidence.

What We're Looking For

  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified (or actively studying towards qualification).
  • Around 3-5+ years' experience in finance, accounting or management accounting roles.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management accounts preparation, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of transactional activity accurately.
  • Comfortable working across multiple entities and navigating complex financial processes.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, with experience using Xero in a multi-entity environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and improvements are encouraged.
  • A genuine ownership mindset-you don't just report the numbers; you make sure they're right and understand what they mean.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (such as SRA/solicitor accounts rules) would be an advantage but isn't essential.
