Summary: The Finance Manager role at Volant Media involves overseeing the finance team and managing financial operations, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and cash flow management. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow) and reconciliations.
- Manage & mentor Finance Team (currently 4), fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Review & approve entries posted into NetSuite.
- Act as finance liaison to key business stakeholders, ensuring smooth close cycles and providing operational support.
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Participate in close-the-books process improvement and system optimization projects.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational needs.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and capabilities.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams to align finance payroll activities with timelines.
- Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled and presented monthly for review.
- Assist Director Of Finance with ad-hoc projects.

- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the business meets its operational needs, preparation of supplier/expense runs.
- Drive the continuous improvement approach across the full range of finance processes and capabilities.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams, as well as external payroll providers, to ensure finance payroll activities align with monthly timelines.
