Summary: The Interim Finance Manager role involves supporting the Head of Finance during a transition period following a system implementation. The position requires a hands-on finance professional to manage month-end processes, financial reporting, and reconciliations while improving financial systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in finance management. This role is based in Central London with limited office requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of management accounts and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.
- Review and correct VAT coding errors, ensuring compliance and accurate submissions.
- Support the optimisation of Sage 200, addressing configuration issues, refining reporting outputs, and embedding improved financial controls.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance, acting as a key finance contact, and provide support to the Assistant Management Accountant.
- Assist in bringing financial records up to date, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical skills in finance management.
- Hands-on experience with month-end processes and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Sage 200.
- Experience in reconciliations and compliance, particularly with VAT.
