Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, VAT returns, payroll, tax compliance, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and bank accounts.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, costings, and revenue analysis to ensure financial stability and align with the company’s goals.
- Identify and implement enhancements to financial controls, reporting processes, and system efficiencies.
- Ensure the company meets all legal and regulatory obligations, including Companies House filings and internal governance standards.
Key Skills:
- Qualified/part-qualified or qualified by experience with 5 years in finance and administration.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and governance requirements in the UK.
- Experience managing tight budgets and preparing financial reports for senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Keen focus on continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Previous experience in a standalone finance role within a start-up environment is highly desirable.
