Summary: The Finance Manager role involves overseeing a finance team and managing day-to-day financial operations for a company based near Dundee. This 12-month fixed-term contract requires strong supervisory skills and experience in financial reporting, VAT, and audit support. The position offers a salary of up to £60,000 plus bonuses and the potential for permanent employment. The role includes hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of two days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4 finance assistants and oversee day-to-day transactional finance functions.
  • Ensure ledger integrity and prepare month-end financial information.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and prepare monthly VAT returns.
  • Finance business partner with internal and external stakeholders for timely information provision.
  • Support year-end audit and engage in process and system improvements.
  • Provide financial analysis and support as required.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Strong supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience with VAT, financial analysis, reporting, and audit assistance.
  • Hands-on experience overseeing transactional finance.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Sage is preferred but not essential.

Salary (Rate): 60000
