Summary: The Finance Manager role is a 3-month Fixed Term Contract based in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, focused on supporting the business through various financial responsibilities. The position requires a hands-on accountant to manage payments, maintain accounting systems, and collaborate with different departments. The role also involves generating reports, managing submissions, and supporting budgeting processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for effective collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uploading interfaces between the ERP system and accounting platform, identifying any errors.
- Managing all payments, including BACs checks and inter-account transfers.
- Being the main point of contact daily for the banks.
- Maintaining the accounting platform and resolving any systems issues.
- Management of the finance team.
- Collaborating with the payroll department, including upload of wages journals.
- Processing intercompany transactions and supporting period-end processes.
- Generating month-end reports.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and associated reconciliations and reporting packs.
- Processing purchase ledger BACs runs.
- Managing all HMRC submissions reports and returns.
- Managing all regulatory and statutory submissions.
- Supporting the business with forecasting and budgetary processes.
- Providing annual audit and tax preparation, as well as any query responses.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on accounting experience in a senior finance position.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
