Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, and financial performance across the business
- Report, track, and reconcile royalty payments to producers and rights holders
- Ensure accurate calculation and timely distribution of streaming and licensing revenues
- Liaise with legal and business affairs to ensure compliance with contracts and agreements
- Oversee revenue invoicing and payment processes across the group
- Manage producer payments, advances, recoupments, and expense allocations
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and industry regulations
- Assist with audits, tax filings, payroll, and other regulatory requirements
- Supervise and develop a Finance Assistant
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role (media or entertainment industry experience desirable)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Sage)
- Understanding of royalties, licensing, and revenue recognition
- Knowledge of streaming revenue models, production accounting, and contract structures is a plus
- Experience working in a multi-currency environment with a global client base
- Solid knowledge of tax areas (VAT, withholding tax, payroll, corporation tax)
- Confident working across Group Accounting structures
- Proactive and solutions-driven, with an eye for refining processes and improving systems
- Excellent communicator, able to work with cross-functional teams (legal, sales, operations, marketing)
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
