Cedar is partnered with a fast-growing, PE-backed financial services business to appoint a Finance Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract. The role pays £75,000 to £85,000 and is based in the City of London, with three days per week in the office.

The Opportunity
The Finance Manager will take ownership of a broad range of reporting, control and statutory responsibilities, while managing and developing a small finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting across multiple entities
- Leading month-end close and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Overseeing statutory accounts and supporting the external audit process
- Managing and developing a small team
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activity
- Reviewing complex accounting matters and ensuring appropriate treatment
- Working closely with wider finance and operational teams on key projects
- Strengthening financial controls, reporting processes and governance
- Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes
- Producing clear analysis and supporting senior finance stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Strong financial reporting and control background
- Experience within a complex, multi-entity organisation
- Good technical accounting knowledge
- Experience managing statutory accounts and audit processes
- Previous team management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable improving processes within a fast-moving environment
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
