Are you a Finance Manager looking for the next step in your career? Are you accustomed to working closely with operational teams to produce reports and commercial KPI’s? Do you enjoying engaging in customer meetings to help identify commercial efficiencies? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins!

As a Finance Manager, you will lead the financial analysis with the operational team to ensure maximum performance is delivered on this closed book contract while also delivering ‘best-in-class’ weekly flashes, period reporting, forecasting and budgeting exercises. This is a full time, permanent, on site position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:30 till 17:30. We do ask for some flexibility with this being a management role, this is logistics after all! You will be working for an accredited employer of CIMA and ACCA.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure robustness of accounting within GXO and visibility of results to internal stakeholders
  • Be part of change team by analysing any financial impacts of projects for inclusion into business cases to the business
  • Confirm clarity of balance sheets across each are of the contract to satisfy internal SOX requirements
  • Lead thinking on team structure and development of individuals, delivering strong succession planning, including standardisation of process to allow cross operation support

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong financial analysis and ‘what if’ scenario planning
  • Experienced in finding cost efficiencies and potential savings
  • Knowledge of financial management systems, while having experience of Oracle would be advantageous
  • Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Ideally fully CIMA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards
