Finance Manager - Cis Vat - Southampton

Prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses to inform decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines.

Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies related to project financing, regulatory reporting, and governmental accounting requirements.

Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, accounts payable/receivable, and banking relationships.

Lead strategic planning initiatives by forecasting financial outcomes, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting business development efforts.

Coordinate with project managers to monitor project costs, perform cost accounting, and implement cost control measures.

Supervise financial software systems for accurate general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.

Ensure adherence to compliance management protocols and regulatory reporting standards across all financial activities.

Provide leadership in financial concepts such as risk management, fiscal management, and cost management to optimize organizational performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA preferred.

Proven experience in corporate accounting within the construction or infrastructure sector.

Deep understanding of IAS, IFRS, GAAP, and governmental accounting standards relevant to construction projects.

Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Proficiency with financial software tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used in construction finance management.

Excellent skills in risk analysis, compliance management, and regulatory reporting processes.

Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
