Summary: The Finance Manager role at a leading services provider near Glasgow involves overseeing a portfolio of project companies and leading a team of accounts assistants. The position requires expertise in management accounting, financial systems integration, and statutory accounts preparation, contributing to the success of diverse projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly management accounting process, including budgeting and forecasting for assigned project companies.
  • Incorporate purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, cash books, and loan schedules ensuring accurate reconciliation to the accounting package.
  • Maintain accruals, prepayments, and amortisation workings for accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare management account reports, conducting analysis of actual versus budget performance.
  • Supervise the timely preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns.
  • Oversee the preparation of purchase invoices and manage non-supplier payments, as well as the issuance of invoices to customers.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for year-end audits, including supporting documentation and working papers.
  • Collaborate with audit teams during fieldwork and subsequent interactions with audit managers.
  • Liaise with tax advisors for the preparation of corporation tax computations.
  • Present finance reports to shareholders during quarterly project board meetings.
  • Track and ensure compliance with project deliverables outlined in loan facility agreements.
  • Maintain financial and operating models, contributing to the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.
