Summary: The role of Interim Finance Director involves leading a finance team within a global Financial Services business, reporting directly to the CEO. The position requires overseeing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational controls while contributing to a finance change program. The director will also engage with executive and board stakeholders, presenting financial performance and strategic insights. This is a six-month hybrid position based in the City of London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the Finance team located in London.
- Report on financial performance to group, divisional, and local stakeholders.
- Undertake financial reviews of actual and forecast performance, including efficiency metrics and cash management.
- Manage all aspects of the financial year-end process and ensure timely filing of statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Manage all regulatory financial returns and reporting.
- Direct financial planning and manage the annual budget process.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Assess, manage, and minimize financial risk while overseeing internal financial controls.
- Maintain relationships with service providers, including banking institutions and accountants.
- Manage foreign currency exchange transactions.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience.
- Broad financial reporting and finance operations experience.
- Experience with international parent companies and subsidiary boards.
- Extensive leadership and management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Sage 300 is an advantage.
Salary (Rate): 200,000
