Summary: The Finance Intelligence Lead role focuses on leading finance transformation initiatives within the insurance consulting sector, specifically targeting life insurance and bulk annuity clients. This position involves collaborating with senior stakeholders to modernize finance operations and enhance reporting capabilities through technology and data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement finance transformation strategies for life insurance and bulk annuity clients
  • Lead the integration of finance systems, including ERP and EPM platforms, into efficient finance operating environments
  • Improve finance reporting processes, controls, and working day timetables
  • Design and implement finance target operating models
  • Collaborate with actuarial, reporting, and analytics teams to ensure seamless business integration
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements including Solvency II and IFRS 17
  • Lead transformation programmes from mobilisation through to benefits realisation
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Contribute to business development activity, proposals, and thought leadership initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience delivering finance transformation within life insurance, pensions, or general/specialty insurance
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems such as Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, or equivalent ERP/EPM platforms
  • Expertise in finance operations including reporting, controls, close processes, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with Solvency II and/or IFRS 17 requirements
  • Strong understanding of finance data integration and operating models
  • Proven experience leading complex transformation programmes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • Previous consulting or professional services experience (desirable)
  • Exposure to GenAI-enabled automation or modern finance data platforms (desirable)
  • Experience delivering advanced analytics or management reporting solutions (desirable)

The Opportunity

The Finance Intelligence Lead will play a central role in designing and delivering finance transformation programmes for insurance clients. Working closely with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you will help clients modernise finance operations, improve reporting capability, and unlock operational efficiencies through technology and data-led solutions.

  • Expertise in finance operations including reporting, controls, close processes, and regulatory compliance

Desirable Experience
