Summary: We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a contract position inside IR35 to support our finance team during a period of transition and growth. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The position is hybrid, allowing for both remote work and presence at the client's offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Immediate availability is required for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements
- Partner with business units to drive financial performance and efficiency
- Manage and oversee a small finance team (if applicable)
- Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS)
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills (eg, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite - specify as relevant)
- Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
