Summary: The role of Interim Finance Director/Financial Controller is focused on providing financial leadership within a fast-paced FMCG business in the food and beverage sector. The position requires a hands-on approach to finance, emphasizing commercial insight and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will lead the finance function and drive process improvements while managing budgeting and forecasting. This role is based in Leicester with a requirement for on-site presence 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Drive process improvements and financial controls

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as an FD or FC within FMCG, ideally food and beverage
  • 3-4 different stints at different businesses
  • Strong commercial acumen and hands-on approach
  • Ability to start on 11th March
  • Comfortable working 2–3 days per week on-site in Leicester

Salary (Rate): £550/day

Interim Finance Director / Financial Controller – FMCG (Food & Beverage)

Location: Leicester (2–3 days on-site)

Start Date: 11th May

Day Rate: Negotiable outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director or Financial Controller to support a fast-paced FMCG business within the food and beverage sector.

This is a hands-on role requiring a commercially focused finance leader who can quickly add value in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Drive process improvements and financial controls
