Summary: The Finance Change and Improvement Management Accountant will play a crucial role in enhancing financial processes and reporting within a growing housing association in Gloucestershire. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to implement innovative solutions that streamline financial operations and support strategic decision-making. The role also focuses on improving financial systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the finance team. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months based in Tewkesbury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive efficiency, automation, and consistency across the finance team.
- Enhance financial systems for accurate and insightful reporting.
- Support budgeting, financial modelling, and cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with finance teams and business planning colleagues to improve forecasting.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting, taxation, and compliance.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and change within the finance function.
- Build strong relationships across the business to create a proactive finance function.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) with post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in business partnering, preferably in construction or housing associations.
- Expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and business process management.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Experience leading change initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong process mapping and data analysis skills; experience with Microsoft D365, Power BI, or Visio is a plus.
- Highly organised and resilient, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative and results-driven with strong people skills.
