Summary: The Finance Business Partner role is a temporary position for up to 12 months, focused on providing financial decision support and analysis within the RNLI's Financial Planning & Analysis team. The successful candidate will engage with various departments to assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, while building strong relationships with stakeholders. This hybrid role requires a strong background in accounting and excellent communication skills to effectively support the organization's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with customers to provide financial guidance and support.

Key Skills:

Our Finance Business Partners support and work with customers across the organisation through the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and help identify risks and opportunities to planned activities.

About the role

The successful candidate will be required to provide first-class financial decision support and analysis service to departments and major projects across the RNLI, providing the right information to the right people, at the right time—for the right decisions.

In the role, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with your customers to lead and provide full financial guidance, coaching, and a support service
  • Assist customers with financial planning and forecasting including looking up to 5 years ahead
  • Attend relevant departmental and project meetings, ensuring there is a finance presence where appropriate
  • Deliver regular financial reports and ad-hoc financial analysis for your customers, finance department and external auditors
  • Actively promote the benefit of the Finance department to other areas of the RNLI

About you

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, whilst previous business partnering experience in a fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous. We are looking for a great communicator, with the ability to provide financial expertise and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel with good supporting knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Internet applications is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics is desirable though not essential. You will need to be at least part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or similar) or qualified by experience.
