Summary: The Finance Business Partner role at a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Greater Manchester area involves providing insights on overhead costs and supporting decision-making processes. The position requires building relationships with senior managers and managing financial analysis and reporting. This is a flexible role with a mix of onsite and remote work, offered as an initial 9-month contract. The position is compensated at a rate of £38-43 per hour via an Umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and presentation of financial results to business stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with senior managers to drive innovation in reporting processes.
  • Manage the consolidation and analysis of overhead costs and ensure accurate month-end closing.
  • Support decision-making on overhead costs by providing insights into spend and allocations.

Key Skills:

  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis, business partnering, and international finance roles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, accounting systems (preferably SAP), and financial reporting tools.

Salary (Rate): £43 per hour

Detailed Description From Employer:

We are actively recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Greater Manchester area. As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing insights and transparency on overhead costs, supporting decision-making processes, and advising the business on key financial matters. This role offers the flexibility of working 2 days onsite and 3 days from home, and is an initial 9 month contract. This position (depending on experience), can offer £38-43 p/h via an Umbrella company, 37.5 hours per week.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Your duties as the Finance Business Partner will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • As the Finance Business Partner, you will lead the coordination and presentation of financial results to various business stakeholders, including actuals, outlook, budgets, and risk/opportunity analysis.
  • As the Finance Business Partner, you will build strong relationships with senior managers and their teams to drive innovation in reporting processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • As the Finance Business Partner, you will manage the consolidation and analysis of overhead costs, ensure accurate month-end closing, and support controlling activities for central functions and strategic projects.
  • As the Finance Business Partner You will support decision-making on overhead costs by providing insights into spend, capitalization, and FTE allocations across cost centers.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Finance Business Partner we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis, business partnering, and international finance roles involving senior stakeholder exposure.
  • A working knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, accounting systems (preferably SAP), and financial reporting tools.
