Summary: An exciting opportunity exists for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to support the financial strategies and delivery of an organization. The role requires a driven finance professional with experience in capital investment strategies and collaboration across finance teams. This position is temporary for 3 months with a hybrid working pattern based in Sutton. The ideal candidate will have relevant professional qualifications and strong experience in Finance Business Partnering within a local government context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience developing and implementing capital investment strategies and programmes
- A strong track record of aligning the capital strategies with the wider treasury objectives through effective collaboration across finance teams
- Financial modelling and project appraisal, including the evaluation of different financing options
- Experience leading year-end capital accounting processes and ensuring accurate reflection of capital transactions in the Council’s accounts
- In-depth technical knowledge of the prudential framework and capital financing/reporting requirements within local government
- The ability to provide robust financial support and constructive challenge to senior officers and leadership teams within a local authority context
Key Skills:
- Holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, etc)
- Strong experience in Finance Business Partnering, in a local government setting
- Knowledge of capital and treasury processes
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems
Salary (Rate): £609 daily
