Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial insight, planning, and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis and engage with stakeholders.
  • Prepare accruals, adjustments, and validate accounts.
  • Interpret accounting standards and ensure financial governance.
  • Identify commercial risks and support investment decisions.
  • Utilize Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI desirable).
  • Work with Oracle or other ERP finance systems.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in financial insight and analysis.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial governance.
  • Ability to identify commercial risks.

Detailed Description From Employer:

We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner for our public sector client based in Glasgow on an initial 6-month contract paying £318 to £452 per day Inside IR35.

This role allows hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office 3 days per week in Glasgow. You may choose to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

You will need proven experience providing financial insight, planning, and analysis to senior stakeholders within a large or complex organisation.

The successful Finance Business Partner will possess proven skills working with the following –

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting
  • Financial analysis and stakeholder engagement
  • Preparing accruals, adjustments, and validating accounts
  • Interpreting accounting standards and financial governance
  • Identifying commercial risks and supporting investment decisions
  • Excel and data analysis (Power BI desirable)
