Summary: The Finance Business Partner for Sales at Tribal will leverage financial expertise to support the company's mission in the EdTech sector. This role involves providing financial management reporting and analysis to facilitate commercial decision-making and business planning. The position is a 14-month fixed-term contract, requiring a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office and three days remote. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor within the Commercial Finance Team, ensuring financial implications are effectively managed across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate weekly deal approval meetings with the sales team, reviewing bid details and verifying commercial assumptions.
  • Lead on Commercial Product Reviews to ensure price books are commercially acceptable.
  • Collaborate with Commercial to develop new frameworks and partnership arrangements, addressing financial implications and risks.
  • Support Sales and Commercial during negotiations of large deals, providing input into bid models and pricing.
  • Maintain a strong sales governance process with structured templates and models.
  • Monitor the renewals process and intervene as necessary for complicated renewals.
  • Report on monthly P&L performance and KPIs, providing insightful analysis for improvement.
  • Lead the annual budget process, challenging and guiding the Executive Team on targets and assumptions.
  • Review and provide analysis for the monthly forecasting process for effective performance monitoring.
  • Design commission schemes to motivate sales teams while ensuring commercial benefits for the Group.

Key Skills:

  • A relevant accountancy qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or similar).
  • Effective customer negotiation skills with a solid grasp of commercial principles.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with experience dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in financial forecasting and modelling for pricing, deals, and projects.
  • Successful track record in finance business partnering, ideally within a software business.
  • Experience working within the education sector.

Salary (Rate): £80,000.00
