Summary: The Finance Business Partner will collaborate with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. This role involves leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, while delivering management reporting and analyzing manufacturing cost drivers. The position requires strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights, with a focus on continuous improvement in financial processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight, challenge, and support in decision-making.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your business unit, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Deliver timely and insightful management reporting, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.
- Analyse manufacturing cost drivers, production efficiency, and margin performance, recommending actions to improve profitability.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment appraisals, capital expenditure proposals, and strategic projects.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance and non-Finance teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Monitor and control working capital, inventory management, and cost structures to optimise cash flow and operational efficiency.
- Support compliance with reporting requirements, governance standards, and internal controls.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and business performance.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in a Finance Business Partner, FP&A, or Commercial Finance role.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support at all levels of the business.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, and margin analysis in a manufacturing context.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced PLC environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
