Summary: The Finance Assistant role in Sheffield involves supporting the treasury department with VAT, PSA, and other tax-related tasks. The position requires managing bank accounts, handling cash receipts, and providing financial analysis. The successful candidate will also assist with reconciliations and liaise with project managers regarding FX deals. This contract position is essential for ensuring efficient financial operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing 10 internal and 3 external bank accounts
- Daily upload of FX rates and allocation/posting of cash receipts
- First point of contact for all cash-related inquiries
- Supporting the Treasury function with FX deals
- Liaising with commercial project managers regarding FX deal actions
- Actioning IC recharges (Group Fees) and ad hoc charges
- Completing month-end journals
- Assisting with overseas VAT reporting
- Conducting ad hoc financial analysis to support the business
Key Skills:
- Competent in SAP, VAT, and banking
- Completion of/Working towards AAT Studies
- Experience in preparing manual journals
- Experience in preparing bank reconciliations
- Competent knowledge of UK taxes and Intrastats
- Proven ability to manage tasks and time efficiently
- Experience working as part of a team
