Summary: The Finance Apprentice role at Orbit Group offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Transactional Finance while pursuing an AAT Level 2 qualification through remote learning. The position involves processing financial transactions and supporting the Transactional Services Management Team. This hybrid role is based in Binley, Coventry, and aims to enhance the apprentice's understanding of finance within a community-focused organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Processing all financial transactions and payments received within the Group, in accordance with agreed timetables and formats.
- Download directly from Bankline the daily statements, process the payments in accordance with agreed timetables and formats.
- Scanning all unapproved invoices onto the D365 system and forwarded for approval, in accordance with agreed timetables and formats.
- Understand the technical aspects of the team’s work and takes hands-on approach to daily tasks.
- Post standing orders to accounts by accessing the files through WinSCP and collecting account numbers of errors through Excel using VLOOKUP formula.
- Bacs runs are processed on a weekly basis.
- Producing and issuing debtor ledger invoices and aged debt reports.
Key Skills:
- Appropriate proven experience of Microsoft Excel.
- Educated to O-Level/GCSE Level or equivalent, including Mathematics and English at a C level or equivalent.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Need to be a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years as per the AAT course criteria.
- Cannot hold a qualification higher than the desired program of study - AAT L2.

The Finance Apprentice role
We are delighted to announce that an opportunity has arisen within Orbit Group, our Transactional Services team within our Finance directorate are recruiting for an Apprentice to join the team on a fixed term contract.
You will undertake your AAT Level 2 in this role through remote learning delivery, whilst being supported by our Early Talent Lead every step of the way. Alongside your education, you will work within a fast-paced and varied role, gaining first hand experience of Transactional Finance and a hands-on view to ensure a breadth of understanding, enhancing your learning and practical experience, whilst supporting the wider Transactional Services Management Team.
This role is part of Finance where you'll help us to invest more back into communities and design for strength. This will be a hybrid working role with a split of office and home working, with the designated office being our Garden Court office in Binley, Coventry.
