Summary: The Finance Analyst – Projects & Reporting role is designed for a part-qualified accountant seeking hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting within a dynamic Commercial Finance team. The position involves supporting financial planning, driving change projects, and producing insightful reports to aid decision-making. The analyst will collaborate closely with finance leaders and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports, including variance analysis and performance insights.
- Developing and maintaining financial reporting packs to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate reporting.
- Providing analytical and reporting support to the annual pricing process.
- Supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Improving financial reporting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, contracts, and internal controls.
- Supporting business projects and process improvements through financial analysis.
Key Skills:
- Part-qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Experience in financial analysis, reporting, or management accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with financial systems is an advantage.
- Great communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
