Summary: The Finance Analyst (Manufacturing) role in Derby involves providing comprehensive financial support to the Assembly Test & Controls (AT&C) team. The position requires collaboration with the VP Finance and the wider finance team to consolidate actuals and forecasts while leading the Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU) activities. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills and build networks within a significant business area. Key responsibilities include preparing financial data, supporting business reviews, and leading the MBU forecast process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing MBU inventory provision data for review, preparing and posting MBU journals, and running flash reviews with the VP.
  • Supporting MBU business review packs, monitoring business opportunities and threats, and maintaining control tower data.
  • Leading the MBU forecast process, owning the timetable, and providing support and analysis.
  • Assisting the VP and business teams with forecast preparation and governance on planning models.
  • Providing Manufacturing Engineering support and completing review packs to help teams understand financial data.
  • Delegating for the VP, engaging in ad-hoc MBU analysis, and conducting headcount reviews with HR.

Key Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills.
  • SAP & Hyperion experience desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Able to analyze and interpret complex financial information.
  • Qualified AAT, Chartered, or Management accounting qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience in manufacturing and standard costing (desirable).
